Ciovita Riders: Jarrod van Der Heever

Ciovita Riders: Jarrod van Der Heever

Being the best at anything is a long and arduous road. It takes dedication, perseverance and passion, to ensure that you push through the hard days and aim to better your best days. As all MTB enthusiasts know, our sport is invigorating and challenging and we’re always proud to support individuals who push themselves and the sport to their limits.

Jarrod Van den Heever is no longer the young boy riding circles on his bike inside his mom’s house but rather he’s on the fast track to becoming one of South Africa’s leading MTB Champions. Ranked 24th in the world by ICC, he’s also the current SA Junior MTB Champion and proudly our new CIOVITA rider.

Jarrod was raised in Paarl in the Western Cape and grew up loving every second on his bike. Soon, the adrenaline pumping action and exceptional feeling of the wind on his face grew to a point where the only route he could take was to compete, to be the best at what he loves.

In 2016 alone, he secured himself three separate podium places, including 1st place at the South African MTB Championships in a smashing time of 1:13:00 and 1st place at the SA XCO Cup Series in another exceptional time of 1:08:49 – the list goes on.

With such phenomenal abilities, and an extraordinary Instagram account as proof, it’s beyond exciting to witness the passion growing as he rides and we’re proud to support his journey!

Jarrod has been road testing our Corsa Bib Shorts and Aero Mesh Race Fit Jersey, you can check them out in the store, or see both on his Instagram , Tumbler and Facebook.

We encourage you to follow this exciting young rider.
